Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions is a non-profit organization, dedicated since 1992 to offering healthcare to people with infectious diseases, conducting independent and competitive clinical research and facilitating knowledge transfer between health professionals, researchers and general public. Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • Pre-award:
    • Proactively detect, communicate and explore funding opportunities according to priority areas.
    • Coordinate and assist in writing project proposals and liaise contributions from partners.
    • Ensure eligibility and administrative requirements are met and timely submission of proposals.
  • Contract Management: 
    • Take the lead in the negotiations, drafting and signing process of contracts (consortium agreements, NDAs, grant agreements, research collaboration agreements, etc.) 
    • Liaise with legal services and ensure compliance with institutional policies and sponsoring agency regulations.
  • Post award and Project Coordination:  
    • Coordinate among the different team members and partners involved in the projects to ensure appropriate implementation.
    • Monitor progress of the project according to work plan ensuring that deliverables and milestones are completed.
    • Anticipate possible deviations during project implementation, planning risk contingency actions if necessary.
    • Manage grant budgets, produce financial and manage audits.
    • Prepare and submit periodic reports on time and project updates to stakeholders.
    • Liaison between researchers and funding agencies 
  • Any other duties related to the job as requested to contribute to the general functioning of the Institution.
Key Skills
  • Familiarity with project management software tools and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial controls, budget tracking and expenses justification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Team-player, problem-solver and customer-oriented.
  • High self-organizing capacity, ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and to prioritize tasks with tight deadlines. Used to working autonomously and initiative.
  • Problem solving: troubleshooting, problem/issue identification, analysis.
  • Good skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalents).
Education and requirements
  • Experience in research project management preferably in the health sector. 
  • Proficiency level in English. Catalan and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of national and international funding programs for health research projects will be an asset.
  • Experience in managing European projects will be positively valued.
